Dear members,
Following the official announcement on November 1, 2024, by the FMSQ Board of Directors regarding the update to the rulebook for the 2025 season, here is the information concerning the proposals submitted to the Rules Committee.
The committee members will meet on Wednesday, January 29, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., under the following conditions:
The committee—made up of a maximum of five members, plus our General Director and/or our Events Director and one Board member—will review the requests to amend the regulations.
After a single meeting, the committee will provide a list of recommendations that will be submitted to the Board for a vote, in order to be incorporated into the 2025 rulebook.

You have until January 23, 2025 to send your application.
There are 5 member seats to be filled (important: the members applying must have been registered as FMSQ members for the 2024 season).
Be sure you are available for the meeting scheduled for Wednesday, January 29, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., via ZOOM videoconference (note that only one meeting is planned for this committee).
The five members will be chosen by random draw by the Board.
Below is a brief summary of the proposals received, which will be analyzed in detail by the Rules Committee. The committee will receive all the details and context for each proposal to assist them in their review process.
Please note that several requests do not necessarily apply to the FMSQ rulebook and are rather organizational in nature. As such, they will not be reviewed by the Rules Committee but will still be evaluated as general suggestions by the Board. In the interest of transparency for our members, all requests received during this process are listed here.
