Subject: 2025 Calendar Update – The 7th Round at Blue Pine Will Be the Season Finale

The FMSQ wishes to inform its members, participants, and partners that the 7th round, which will take place in Saint-Michel-des-Saints (Blue Pine) this weekend, September 13–14, will officially mark the end of the 2025 FMSQ season.

After a thorough evaluation of several potential sites, the FMSQ Board of Directors and team have decided not to move forward with an eighth round, which had initially been listed in the 2025 calendar as “To Be Determined.”

Despite significant efforts, strong determination, and a genuine desire to hold an 8th round this fall, the required municipal and/or provincial authorizations for the proposed sites could not be obtained—or will not be attainable within the necessary timelines—despite some hopes raised in recent days. In this context, and taking into account several operational and strategic factors, the FMSQ has made the difficult decision to conclude the season after Blue Pine.

Several dozen sites were analyzed as part of this process, including proposals submitted by members and partners. However, it is important to note that each site is evaluated independently, and it is not easy to bring together all the essential elements required to host an FMSQ event in 2025: sufficient parking, a quality track, strong collaboration with local partners, and above all, the necessary authorizations, including proper zoning.

The FMSQ warmly thanks all those who submitted site proposals or helped facilitate connections. Their involvement is greatly appreciated.

Despite this situation, the FMSQ remains firmly focused on the future. The demand to host FMSQ events is stronger than ever, both from communities and regional municipalities. This confirms the positive impact of our series on local communities—not only from a sporting perspective, but also economically and in terms of tourism—and motivates us to continue our efforts to deliver the best possible season in 2026.

In closing, we wish all members, participants, and partners an excellent weekend at the new Blue Pine site.
