FRIENDLY SPRINT ENDURO AT CHAINÉLAND!

After nearly two years off the schedule, the FMSQ is thrilled to welcome you back to the legendary Chainéland site in Chesterville (near Victoriaville) for a special and FRIENDLY Sprint Enduro event!

​

A massive thank you to the Chainé family for investing so much effort, time, and resources over the past two years working with government authorities to secure the necessary permits to host events on their property. We also want to acknowledge and thank the FQMHR for their key involvement in this file. This represents a major milestone for our sport in Quebec.

​

We also express our sincere gratitude to the Municipality of Chesterville, whose ongoing support made this project a reality. Without them, it would have been impossible to meet all the required conditions to pull off an event like this. For the FMSQ, this step is particularly important as we hope it paves the way for an eventual return to a traditional event at Chainéland.

Support the Local Community: We invite you to check out the Dark Whiskey Country Festival in Chesterville, taking place this weekend just 8 minutes from Chainéland. For FMSQ country fans, it is a great opportunity to support the local community that is warmly welcoming us!

IMPORTANT: ADAPTED FORMAT & VENUE

​

The format for this event differs from our standard Cross-Country races. The Chainéland venue will be adapted accordingly for the Sprint Enduro formula, including track layout and pit/parking arrangements:

​

• Parking A: Located in the field.

• Parking B: Located on Rang Boutin, which will be closed for the event.

​

First and foremost, this is a friendly event. We ask all participants to show patience and understanding during this inaugural trial—towards the organization, FMSQ staff, and fellow riders alike. Thank you all for your cooperation and support!

​

EVENT FORMAT & SPECIFICATIONS

​

The schedule will be completely different this weekend. It is essential that every participant carefully reads the following details:

​

• Cap of 500 Participants: Due to Sprint Enduro format constraints, entries are strictly limited.

​

• Block Format on 2 days: Days (Saturday and Sunday) are split into two specific time blocks (AM block and PM block).

​

• 4 Timed Laps Per Day: Riders will complete 2 laps in the morning and 2 laps in the afternoon (except for younger categories—see details below).

​

• Back-to-Back Laps: Within each block, your two laps will be completed consecutively. After crossing the line on lap one, you will return immediately to the line to start your second lap (with minimal to no rest).

​

• Time Management: The schedule will be tight and each block runs on a strict timeframe. Punctuality is essential.

​

• Updated Official Schedule: The final schedule—adjusted for rider counts per category and group—will be posted Friday evening (see tentative schedule at the bottom of the page).

​

COURSE, STARTS & PASSING

​

• The Track: A main loop averaging approximately 15 minutes per lap (estimated for an A level adult rider), combining grass track and wood sections. Younger classes will use the same start/finish area on an adapted, shorter course.

​

• Start Process: All riders will use a unified start/finish zone. You must report early to the staging area near the start line to line up single-file with your group.

​

• Intervals: Riders start one by one at 10-second intervals to maintain spacing and reduce trail congestion.

​

• Sportsmanship & Passing: Passing will be necessary at times. If a faster rider catches you during a lap, safely pull aside to let them pass. Respect and sportsmanship are vital. Standings are based strictly on individual chip times.

​

• Lap Completion: Once you cross the finish arch, head straight back to the staging queue to take your second start.

​

• Schedule Release: Final official schedule drops Friday evening.

E-Bike: A dedicated loop will be open for un-timed open practice. A great chance for FMSQ E-Bike riders to ride the Chainéland terrain!
