2026 Schedule Update – Round 8 at Blue Pine Will Be the Official 2026 Championship Finale
The FMSQ wishes to inform its members, participants, and partners of an important update regarding the end of the season.
Round 8, taking place this weekend, September 12–13 in Saint-Michel-des-Saints (Blue Pine), will officially become the final round of the 2026 FMSQ National Cross-Country Championship.
This decision follows the inability to secure the necessary permits to hold an event in L'Orignal, Ontario, which was originally planned as the 9th round of the championship on September 26–27.
However, the season might not be completely over! While we cannot confirm anything officially today, the FMSQ is evaluating the possibility of hosting a special non-championship event on the weekend of September 26–27, 2026, in the Victoriaville area.
We invite all our members, riders, and fans to stay tuned: further details regarding this potential event and its format will be shared in the coming days.
We want to emphasize that decisions of this nature are never taken lightly by the FMSQ Board of Directors and operational team. Building a race calendar and executing a full season presents a major challenge involving numerous variables, particularly regarding land access and municipal permits.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause for our members and their families in their planning and preparation. Rest assured that every effort is being made to provide the best possible event opportunities while continuing to grow the series for future seasons.
In closing, we wish all our members, participants, and partners a fantastic weekend of racing at Blue Pine!
