Dear Members,
Following the FMSQ Board of Directors' official announcement on November 5, 2025, regarding the update of the rulebook for the 2026 season, please find below information concerning the proposals submitted to the Regulations Committee.
The members of this committee will meet on Thursday, February 5, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, according to the following terms:
The committee will consist of a maximum of 20 members, supported by our General Manager and/or our Events Director, as well as a member of the Board of Directors. Its mandate is to analyze and gather member recommendations regarding proposals received during the official submission period.
Following these discussions, a list of recommendations will be submitted to the Board. The Board will then deliberate and vote on the amendments to be made to the 2026 rulebook.
If you are interested in getting involved with this committee, please follow these steps:
Deadline: You have until February 3, 2026, to submit your application.
Eligibility: There are 20 positions available. Important: Applicants must have been registered FMSQ members for the 2025 year.
Availability: Ensure you are available for the meeting on Thursday, February 5, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM via GOOGLE MEET videoconference (note: only one meeting is scheduled for this committee).
Selection: The 20 members will be selected by the Board of Directors via a random draw.
Below is a summary of the proposals received, which will be analyzed in detail by the committee. Each request will include its full context to assist the committee in its analysis.
Please note: Several proposals do not necessarily apply to the FMSQ racing rulebook and are instead organizational in nature. Consequently, these will not be reviewed by the Regulations Committee but will still be evaluated as general suggestions by the Board. In the interest of transparency, all requests received during this process are displayed and presented in the order in which they were received.
